Rajeev Gandhi Memorial College of Engineering and Technology (RGMCET- www.rgitnandyal.com) Nandyal is located in a 50 acres of site at Nerawada cross roads, 10 Kms from Nandyal town on the way to Kurnool on NH-18.

The Former Prime Minister Sri. P. V. Narasimha Rao and the Former Chief Minister Sri. N. Chandra Babu Naidu have inagurated RGMCET. It is approved by AICTE, New Delhi and permitted by state Govt. of Andhra Pradesh. This is the first private Engineering college affiliated to JNT University at both UG and PG levels. The college is accredited by National Board of Accreditation, New Delhi.

This college is included as one of the Networking Institutions from the state of A.P, as one of the three best performing private Engineering colleges to participate in World Bank assisted Technical Education Quality Improvement Programme (TEQIP). So far the institution has received Rs.100 millions and acquired latest equipment. Above all, the parent is well informed about the student's daily attendance through online from RGM website. The college is revered for its discipline, dress-code, academic skills, seminars, workshops and National level conferences and so on are part of the academic calender. Fresher's Day, Annual Day and Hostel Day are celebrated with ecstacy.

The Technical Institution was established in 1995 with a motto "Education For Peace" and with the mission to produce excellent Engineers with social awareness meeting the global standards. It also aims to achieve excellence in research and consultancy in the field of Science and Technology. It has set goal to turn out to be a Deemed University. This premier institute has many milestones in its path of excellence, producing 90% and above results and Winning Gold Medals which is tradition here. With the State-of-the Art labs and network infrastructure, Central Library with bulky volumes, lush green vicinity, RGMCET is moving ahead with an intake of 780 undergraduates, with an intake of 115 M.Tech students and with an intake of 120 MBA and MCA students with a grand total of 1015 students. Gold and Silver medals with cash prizes for the branch toppers and cash awards to the faculty are bestowed every year. College is being visited by MNC's every year to conduct campus interviews from which many of our students are absorbed.

Well qualified and dedicated senior professors and other teaching and non teaching staff are available to serve the needs of the students. The college has 40,360 Sqm of built up area for all the lecture halls, laboratories, workshop, library hostels and staff quarters. There is a training and placement cell under the supervision of a senior professor to help the students get training in industries and provide information regarding jobs. Industrial visit is made compulsory for third and final year students. The cell also invites recruiting agencies to conduct campus interviews. Special coaching classes are arranged for GATE and other competitive examinations for higher studies. To improve the communication Skills of the students an English language las is also established.
